BioMedica Practitioner Account Eligibility

BioMedica is committed to supporting the role of the professional holistic practitioner. As such, we have implemented a stringent policy where BioMedica accounts and the ability to purchase our products are only available to practitioners in a clinical setting. We tightly control the availability of our products to maintain this standard.

Practitioner eligibility 

Practitioners are eligible to apply for a BioMedica account where they meet each of the three eligibility criteria below;

• Have completed an Advanced Diploma or higher, AND
• Have completed a program which contains a clinical placement or clinic practicum AND
• Prescription of natural medicine supplements is legally permitted within their scope of practise either as a result of obtaining their degree or diploma, or through further study.

Where the criteria above is met, BioMedica accepts account applications from naturopaths, clinical nutritionists, western herbal medicine practitioners, homeopaths, medical doctors, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners as well as AHPRA registered practitioners, and dieticians who are members of the Dietitians Association of Australia. 

Unfortunately, if you do not meet these minimum standards, we cannot offer you a BioMedica account or access to our products.

Practitioners with international qualifications will be considered on a case by case basis.

Student Eligibility

Students enrolled in a clinical program which would meet the above criteria upon graduation are able to apply for a student account to access product information and education resources.

Students will be able to purchase products for personal use upon enrolment in their first clinical placement/practicum subject.

Students will only have access to the patient ordering system upon successful completion of their clinical program and will need to provide evidence of completion, either via the website or by contacting customer service to have their account upgraded to a practitioner account. 

Eligibility and supply conditions

Eligibility criteria for application are subject to change such as where there are regulatory changes to the eligibility and definitions of a practitioner. Other changes to eligibility are at the discretion of BioMedica Nutraceuticals, and will be reflected through updates to this page. BioMedica reserves the right to reject applications at its discretion, or remove eligibility of supply in instances where our strict supply policy is not met, or for other legal or commercial concerns.
